"This piece is a tribute to the contemporary black male experience, which often features waving your hair. Waves are a staple of Black male style, with having the best quality being very important. Some men spend hours on brushing, hair products, and drugs to ensure they have 360 waves. I created this piece in honor of this aspect of black masculinity and culture."
